Hi...I'm new

Hi Everyone, I am new and would LOVE to join this board. I've read some posts and it sound like a wonderful supportive place.
I am a 36 year old mommy of 2. My son is 10 and daughter is 7.
I am just getting back into working out after taking a few years off. I only have about 5 more lbs to go but I am trying to make my workouts routine for health not just weight.
We are going to Aruba in 3 weeks so I would really like to tighten and tone.
I usually walk/run 2-4 miles a few times a week and I do Winsor Pilates 3x per week.
I would love to hear about everyones routines and challenges!

Hi Josie, welcome to the board! You're right it's a wonderful place to be part of- we have a great outlook on life and the journey of health we're taking.
Your schedule looks great, and congrats on being 5lbs away from your goal. I've heard Aruba is beautiful (I'm in the VI) you'll have to let us know what you think when you come back.
For me my schedule is out of whack at the moment; but what I'd like to get back to is walking 4-5x's a week and one or two other workouts (yoga, ball, weights, or whatever) I'm working on it!

Hi Josie, I just wanted to say hi. That's so great that you are only 5 pounds away from your goal. Your workout routine is really great. I've just started. I'm 35 away from my goal weight. My workout routine is helping me build up to more challenging things. Right now I"m only walking on my treadmil for 30 minutes 5 times a week and I have started doing some simple toning exercises. I hope to soon be able to say I'm 5 pounds away from my goal weight! :)

Josie, yes I do like my treadmill. :) I like being able to walk in my pajamas if I want! lol. I also like to read while walking. Lately I've been reading Emily Post's book on etiquette! I would like to watch tv while walking, but it is in our dining room (that is functioning as a computer/misc room until we can affoard a dining room table!) and there is not a tv in here. I can look out the window though (unless I'm in my pajamas, of course!).
