We had some friends over for dinner. All day, all I ate was 1/2 can of tomato soup. Here's what I had for dinner:
Brie & Crackers, wine, salad, lasagne, and yes...cheesecake!
Hmmmm....I wonder how far over my 1200 calorie limit I went???? Did I stop at 1 glass of wine? NO!!! Oh, I dread stepping on the scale tomorrow!

Don't worry about it. You'd have to consume a few thousand calories to even gain 1 lb., so realistically while you might not *lose* any weight over the next day or two you won't gain from that meal alone. Even if you consumed 2,000 for the day, so what? It is one day. You *have to* indulge yourself on occasion. That's what makes it all the easier to stay on track the rest of the time. At least that's how it works for me.

.....come on Sylvia-- don't be too hard on yourself! One 'treat' (meal) is not going to knock you off the wagon too hard! I hope you at least enjoyed it and weren't feeling guilty the whole time!!

~~~HUGS~~~ here's to a super Sunday
Everyone is right Sylvie, you have to take in 3,500 calories more than you burn to gain a pound, and I highly doubt you are there yet.
You know, many diets advocate a "cheat" day, or at least some leeway in terms of letting yourself enjoy a night out or a special event.
A single night with a lasagna dinner doesn't blow the whole 2 weeks, darling!
Remember what that new French author said about why French women aren't fat. They enjoy what they eat and don't go overboard in protions. You are in control of what goes in your mouth so you can decide what and when you want to eat with no guilt. NO GUILT!!! If I decide that my treat for today is a cup of chocolate ice cream, I eat and enjoy because I'm allowed 1 or 2 treats a day, I just make sure I stop at one serving or less. In fact, just today I had my 1 cup of choc ice cream after I ate my salad for lunch.
I truly believe that we only fail when we fail to get back up. Everything else is a setup for a comeback!
You're doing fine, so smile!
