Hi :)
I like millions of people watch Oprah and I saw an advertisement for Oprah's Boot Camp which kicks off Feb 14th on her show. I am very interested in doing this because of course Oprah looks fab at 50! I am 35 (almost 36) and been thinking I am no where NEAR where I want to be. I have a 19 month old and I am a work at home mom which leaves me no time for myself during the day. I am Making the commitment to make the change I need to for me. I have been overweight my entire life and have gained and lost weight forever! Since I had my daughter I feel my energy drained easily just playing and pushing her around the house in the laundry basket (which she loves). Summer is coming and I want to get out and play with her like I should be able to. So starting soon I am setting the alarm so I can get up and get moving in the morning. I have devoted all my time to her and I don't regret 1 minute but to make myself a better mom I need to start taking better care of myself!
I am looking for 2 things from my fellow ivillage 30 something's like me...1 is a few friend's interested in doing this challenge with me and 2 some idea's for "lean" protein recipe's. I am sure Oprah will be posting more info as the 14th approach's but trying to ramp up to the challenge!
Feel free to email me direct if your interested in starting a "O" Group! I need all the support I can get to keep me on track!!
Thanks :)

I am in the same boat as you. Two kids and work from home. I would be interested in joining your Oprah/iVillage group.
Background:
Started getting overweight around 13 years. By the time I was 26, I weighed 245. Since then (now I'm 31), I lost 75 pounds, but my problem is this. The last year and a half of on and off dieting, I have stayed within 10 pounds of this weight and haven't broke the magic number of 170. I fear I've become too comfortable being this weight, but would like to be in the 'normal' range.
I have 26 pounds to lose to reach goal and am looking for ways to kick my metabolism up. My real problem area is my stomach. I'm worried that years of on and off dieting have made me desensitized to dieting. Would appreciate advice for sticking with it and working through this plateau.
Short-term goal (February): breaking "170" and possibly reaching 165.
I'm going to check out the Oprah site,
Hello :)
All I can say is WOW to losing 75 lbs! How did you do it!?!? What was the key to your success??
I am still looking for support in doing the program. I don't want to interfere with the ChangeOne program going on ivillage. I will have to check it out also. I just know I need to do something and soon! Summer is just around the corner...yikes!
