OK......well it made some sense to me; and some parts didn't ring true at all. IMO


I suppose there are a lot of people making recommendations about water these days; and it all gets a little confusing for the majority of us!


In the past I've heard the 8 glasses (64oz); half your body weight in oz; more when your exercising; more in the heat; don't forget about food with water, etc...etc...

That's the minimum number of ounces your body needs. If you exercise, you need more. Take your weight and multiply by 2/3 to get the number of ounces. Your specific needs may differ.
Dry environments, like airplanes and shopping malls, heated office buildings and hospitals all increase your need for water, as do hot, humid or cold weather.

-if I didn't know any better reading this comment I'd be scared to drink at all, lol!! This is something that happens when a lot (I mean A LOT) of water has been drunk, really fast-- and is something that affects a small minority of people (mostly marathon runners and the like...) I may not be 100% accurate on this- but it's something like that!

Bottom line (IMO) drink water when you feel you need to! Learn to listen to your body!

IG, I know I had read that is actually quite difficult to get "water intoxication", so I'm pretty sure I'm within my limits.
