I've noticed in the journals that there have been some recent losses and I have one to report of my own...and I thought that everyone might like reading the great things that are happening this week!


Plans for extra workouts??

Well based on advice I got from here I decided to weigh myself once a week rather every time I was in the bathroom.


Anyway, first week the scale didn't budge. So I decided I needed to cut out my soda drinking. Which I didn't completely. Let myself have a treat or two on the weekend and then I tried to stick to low cal. stuff like C2 or Pepsi Edge.


Second week I wieghed in yesterday evening and have lost 2 lbs. This is the first weight I've lost in a long time.


I think wieghing myself all the time was helping me in commiting to certain choices. When I got varied weights through out the day it made it harder to figure out what was working and what wasn't. Also, gave me easy excuses and contributed to a bad day etc.

Down one pound from last week. Today I started walking 45 minutes, instead of the usual 30. So for the rest of the week I'll have a daily 45 minute walk on my treadmill, at 3.0 speed. I suspect I lost more than one pound, and that I'm just retaining water due to my cycle...but even if that is not the case, one pound is enough to be excited about! :)

I'm 1 lb. away from the goal I set for March 1st. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I haven't patted myself on the back yet..... I weighed in to start this shindig on January 16th.... I was a terrifying 200 lbs. :BLECH: Nearly a month later, and I am 190 and steadily dropping. Tonight it was a 4 mile run on the treadmill at 3.5-4.5.... on top of that, my hubby is working on losing his weight, and says I look a ton better. He says he can't wait for me to hit my goal weight... : )

(That is supposed to be the rockin' horn they had a Reunion Arena that signal a Dallas Stars' goal)

I lost 1 1/2 pounds this week! 8 more to go!!!

I agree with what Gretchen (#2) said and encourage everone to read it if you haven't already.
