Hey there, Has anyone heard of Michael Thurmond's 6 Week Body Makeover? Has anyone used it? Does it work? Any thoughts?

Just curious!

Any input is appreciated.

Thank you!

Thank you for your message.....I guess I am still concerned about not really losing hardly any weight and thought this may be a way to help show me the foods and exercises that would be good for my body type.....would you recommend doing something like this? or do you think that I should invest in a nutritionist?

Have a great night!

I would think that meeting with either a doctor, a personal trainer, or a nutritionist would be your best bet.

That absolutely makes sense....thank you for your assistance...I will spk with my trainer and maybe he can recommend a nutritionist. I'll keep you posted. Thanks!

I used it, I just sold it online. It works if you follow it to the letter, it's tough, I found I had to do all my cooking for the week one day on the weekend because trying to cook individual meals I was basically in the kitchen all day. You eat 6 small meals a day, and depending upon where you fall on the body type range I was a A so I had the suckiest meal plan: Breakfast 2oz of protein and 1/2 cup carb (not carbs you want, carbs on a specific list), snack, 2oz protein and 1/2 cup fruit (again from a specified list) lunch 2-3 oz protein, 1/2 cup carb and 1 cup veggies, snack 1/2 cup fruit and 2 oz protein and dinner it was basically the same as lunch.

2 oz is very small...I had headaches the first week, but I did lose a lot that first two weeks, I did it right before I went on a cruise. If you aren't very dedicated I wouldn't waste your money, it takes a lot of effort to stay on....if you do buy it, buy it off ebay or half.com. It's costly.

PS Two people I talked too who had lost a significant amount of weight through a yahoo board for those using MT's program both Annie and Lisa were featured in his second round of commercials because of the great success they had.

Hi Sweet Karma,

I have a couple of questions for you...
1. I tried searching the information that you wrote about in regards to the MT 6 week body makeover on Yahoo boards to no avail...can't find the info. Can you point me in the right direction?
2. How much did you sell your program for online? My only fear about buying it used from someone is that if I am not happy with it after a certain amount of time, I won't be able to get my money back. I saw the program online "new" for 75.00, seems like a good price AND there is a money back guarantee.
3. Not too worried about the kitchen thing, I am a catering director and have access to any and all of the food that one could want (maybe that was my first problem, ha!)Were the recipes complicated? or were their unusual foods on them? I love to cook and do so almost every day.....

Can you remember any other drawbacks? What was the exercise like?

I sold mine for 90 dollars plus shipping, When I purchased the MT program it was close to 185 dollars and I needed to get back at least half of my investment.

Sorry I haven't been a part of the yahoo group for over 2 years, I couldn't really point you there...go to the provida.com website and go in their message boards, most of the women using the program post there and can maybe direct you to the yahoo group.

I never used any of their recipes. The drawbacks is that you aren't eating a lot of food and the first week I got tons of headaches, if you are someone that falls off the dieting wagon easy this definitely isn't the diet for you, it takes a lot of preparation and will power to stay on it. The exercising is different depending on your body type, cardio just consisted of walking mainly but there were specific toning exercises that you would do with a resistance band, determined by your body type, there is no exercise video...just papers on how to do the exercises.
