Sunday I did the FrostBike challenge at Lake McMurtry near Stillwater, Oklahoma.

First of all "Frost" Bike was not the appropriate name this year.

Awesome job! It sounded like fun. What does 12 miles of Hell entail?

I intend on getting back into biking again. For me that was my favorite form of exercise. You can't give up and get off to go sit in front of the TV when you're 8 miles from home.

Here's my post about 12 Miles of Hell. There are a few pictures of what scares me there:

Yes, that's why I don't care for stationary bikes.. it's way too easy to just stop when you feel whipped.

Paula--- as someone else said 'inspiring'. Well done! Sounds like you really enjoyed it and are gearing up (I know bad pun, lol) for the Hell Ride coming up!

Nice Ride Paula....
Sounds like a really fun day. What do you usually pack nutrition wise for a day like this. I have a whole "plan" for race days and am always interested in what others do when they know they are going to be out there for longer then 3 hours.

>>>>I'll let you know how that goes. :)

Please do ... Good Luck on Sunday.

I know you are psyched. My nutrition for Olympic races includes a couple of powerbars, Gatorade and H20 at a 50-50 ratio a banana pre race and in a pinch I grab a couple of fig newtons. So far this unglamorous mix has worked pretty well for me. BUT I may be attempting a 1/2 Ironman in a year so I'm starting to explore other avenues.
