I almost gave up...

I got on the scale this morning and I had gained a pound. I have been trying so hard, working out like crazy, 15 minutes first thing in the morning (4:30 am), walking 10 minutes to get the office and up 9 flights of stairs (198 steps), 4 times a week working out cardio for 45 - 60 minutes. I have been drinking my water and watching what I eat. Gaining was almost too much for me. I spent my shower swearing I was going to quit and just be fat. So, I decided to check my measurements, my last ditch effort to stay motivated. I have lost a total of 4 inches in just under 2 weeks. 1 inch off my chest (some women would find that depressing, I want a breast reduction so I was thrilled) 1.5 inches off my waist and 1.5 inches off my hips. So, I am remotivated and determined to work harder on cutting calories so the scale number goes down.

I know how that goes. Work so hard, for so long, and it seems like nothing has changed. I wonder too sometimes why I work so hard. My jeans are looser though, so I know I have made some progress.

My sweet DBF said the other day that the work is paying off, so nice of him. He said I looked good before though.

I'm glad you saw results to motivate you to keep on keeping on. It's worth it.

I think you're doing awesome! Remember that muscle weighs more than fat and you're obviously gaining muscle. This is the best thing for you because muscle is what burns fat, sets your metabolism and strengthens your frame.

Keep going!!!

Go Lisa, Go Lisa, Go Lisa!!!

Fantastic news--- and I'm so glad you gave yourself the benefit of the doubt and took the extra time to take those measurements. All that working out (and those flights of stair-- good for you) IS paying off. Have you noticed changes in your clothes? That's another biggie, and often more accurate than those darned scales.

Once again, way to go, and keep it up-
