I have had a sore throat, right ear hurts, cough, and feel run down for the past week. I havent worked out either :( Will working out delay the time it takes to get over being sick?

With all the symptoms you have, take a break from working out.

I agree with Miranda on this one! I think you really have to learn to 'listen' to your own body when you're sick. Only you can really tell how much you can do without breaking down ;-)

From what I read, they say, "if it's all above the neck, go ahead and work out, if any symptoms are below the neck, take a break".

Seeing as how you're coughing and feel run down, I would say, don't. =) Just like everyone else.

It might. When I'm sick I follow the 10 minute rule. I force myself to workout for 10 minutes. After that, if I feel lousy I can quit. Often I find I start to feel better and do the full workout. I would take it down a notch though and don't go outside if it's really cold and wet.
