For my body, I'd have a massage. My DBF gave me an hour with a new massage therapist, friend of a mutual friend, for Valentine's day. I went last week, and I felt so wonderful after that hour. I stood up after that massage and felt no pain or stiffness in my neck and shoulder. It was great.
For my mind, I would read, but not fiction, something inspriational or something about improving one's life or about something with which I would like to become more familiar.
For my soul, I would spend some time in the woods, hiking, looking, listening, maybe picking some berries, just enjoying what God has made for us to enjoy.
Body - a long workout at the gym. Because I have a baby, I usually only get 60 minutes in the childcare room for her so my workouts are always rushed and I don't get an opportunity to try new things.
Mind - I would read. I love to read and rarely every get to do it uninterrupted.
Soul - Ideally I would sit on a beach and just take a nap. There is nothing more therapuetic than the sound of the surf, the warmth of the sun and the smell of coconut suntan lotion. But, alas, there is snow on the ground today, so I guess a nice long bath with scented candles would regenerate me almost as well!
Body - I would take my time with a long hot bath/shower. Pamper myself and take care of all those little details. Shave my legs, lotion, do my nails toes and fingers. Have these great scrubs and lotions for my feet. Maybe do something for my hair like color it.
Mind - Spend uninterrupted time reading.
Soul - Call my sister. She lives in Ohio; me in Wyoming. I always love having a good long talk with her. Very uplifting and "good for my soul" definitely describes how I feel after talking with her!.
A Nice Long Bubble Bath w/a romance novel (I only read these in bubble baths... LOL hang up from college and I don't think I've had one in over 6 years)
A Nap on clean pressed sheets in a 68* room with the windows open letting in spring smells and air. I want to sleep until my body is refreshed.
The Largest Hot Fudge Sundae you have ever seen with extra whipped cream and two cherries. I won't eat it all but I want to know that there will be enough there that I don't have to stop eating until I'm full.
That would be my perfect Recovery Destress day. Sabrina
Body: I would go for a long hike in the smokie mountains with my husband.
Mind: We would talk, while we were hiking, about all sorts of things.
Soul: I would take some time, during the hike, to be by myself and pray to God...surrounded by the wonderful quiet...thanking Him for everything He has done for me.
