Someone have any ideas on having constant nausea...it's mild, but I can't seem to shake it.

Steffy, I'm sorry you aren't feeling great. I wonder if you just have a virus/bug, or lots of sinus trouble, or possibly you just ovulated. I sometimes have a day of nausia right around ovulation time. You asked what helps...I've heard that ginger tea is good for it, but I've never tried that. Sodas make mine worse. Crackers are probably the most helfpul for me. And if it's bad, nothing at all except for resting. Hopefully it won't last long for you!

My BF was feeling ill for a long time, about a month. He went to the doctor, and was diagnosed with a stomach infection. I'd never heard of having a stomach infection before. He has this big pack of antibiotics and other stuff he has to take for two weeks. Hope it's nothing that involved with you.

Sprite helps me with the nausea too. I also like peppermint tea if I feel a bit sick to my stomach.

Just wnated to post and say hugs.

Also, from what I hear, when you drink the 7up or whatevers, it's supposed to be flat. lol. Not sure about the truth of that, but hey, tha'ts what I read, cuz the bubbles are actually not good for an upset stomach.

Who knows.

For me, throwing up always helps.lol. I'm serious, if I feel blah, I just go do it, and I feel MUCH better.

Hugs.

Steffy: Gingerale, girlfriend! I had a flu several years ago that made me nauseous for about a week. My doc prescribed anti-nausea pills. You can get a milder form of anti-nausea liquid OTC. Hope you feel better soon!

Steffy- hope you're feeling somewhat better at this stage! I hate that feeling of nausea (then again, who doesn't, lol) Ginger ale is good, I've also heard to have it -flat- for a weak stomach. Just wondering if you've changed your diet in the last couple of days....even drinking a different brand of water (or tap water) can attribute to feelings of nausea! Or have you eaten any acidic fruit? (Though I think this would be more a heartburn....and peppermint is GREAT for that). In any case, hope you're doing better

Hey Steffy, it is probably just a stomach virus, but make sure you are getting enough fluids:

  • If you are dehydrated try some electolyte solution such as Pedialyte (for kids) or Plasmalyte for adults

  • Drink flat gingerale, it's the ginger that will help the stomach, so any ginger tea (which I know you aren't a fan of) will also help.

  • Peppermint (again, in a tea or other form) also helps

  • Ease back onto foods, try a consomme (diluted first then full strength), along with plain soda crackers or plain toast

  • REST REST REST

Your body needs this more than anything to get better.
