Favorite clothing lines?

I have been spending some time thinking about what I'm going to buy when I'm thin this summer. I was wondering if anyone wanted to share some of their favorite catalog sites/stores...or even some of your "inspirational" peices (for example, I want to be able to buy some cute capris this year). I want to find some great peices that I will order when I get to my goal weight. I would appreciate any suggestions!

Hi there,
I don't know what your size is so I can only give you an opinion based on my size (5'10 w/ an italian butt and boobs). Banana Republic clothes are classic and flattering. I bought clothes (including capris) there years ago and still wear (and love) them. I have had several women ask me where I got them. Whenever they hear BR, they assume the clothes cost alot. I never buy their clothes full price. They would have to sedate me if I spent $100 on a shirt or pants. I walk straight to the back and pick up everything in my size off the sale rack. Whatever fits, I usually buy. They are also pretty 'true' to their sizes. A size 10 in one style, is a size 10 in another style. So when you shop you don't have to bring a bunch of the stay style ot the dressing room. I rarely shop (hate it!) for clothes so I appreciate their consistancy.
If you decide to try BR-remember-head straight to the back sale rack. They usually have a decent array of sizes for 'reasonable prices'.
Good Luck~Patrice
Patrice, we have a BR in our mall and I never go in there because I figure it is so expensive...so I appreciate the information about the sale rack in the back. I am definitly going to check that out. I'm not sure what italian butt and boobs are, lol, but I'm guessing that's kind of "robust"? lol. If that is the case, I have the italian butt too. Not the boobs though. I'm a "pear" shape and I'm short..only 5 feet tall. In the past, when I was thin, I would buy regular clothes and so they would be baggy on me and the skirts would be very long. Now I understand "fit" much better. When I'm thin again, there is no way I'm going to wear anything baggy! :)

Kim I'm a GAP fan, but I usually seem to find more clothes that fit at their outlet store (Factory Store).
Miranda, that is really good to know! I've never tried on GAP jeans before and I will have to do that. I don't know of an outlet store anywhere, but I'm not from here, so I'll have to ask around. I have two places to try now, next time we have time to go shopping. :)

Marshalls is one I haven't been in very much and I've never looked at their clothes (looked at toys and purses), so I am definitly going to go there now too. Thanks! I didn't realize they had those brands there. I've never invested in very good quality clothes, but I've learned now that it doesn't pay to buy walmart jeans (for example) because they end up getting too worn to wear after a year or so. So I'm basically clueless about clothes. And if anyone has tips on how to wash them and keep them newer looking longer, please pass them along!

LOL, I guess it's the kind that is supposed to make the girls *pop* out! Hmm...I've never tried their clothes on.I've only ever bought just a few very pretty neglege (sp?) things there...tiny little things I used to fit into...and will again soon, hopefully...*sigh*...a few months ago I ran across something I bought from there...a size small thong, lol...I wanted to cry.

My two favorite stores to buy clothes are Target and Foley's (the May companies) when they have their Red Apple sales. I like good quality without the high prices so I can buy in volume! LOL

THey have some beautiful suits, winter coats, dresses, sweaters and bathing suits...I'd kill to fit in them.
www.loverslane.com has some really nice lingerie and undies for even bigger sizes...I bought their corset and vavava voom....
