I decided to quit WeightWatchers, I'm not happy with the progress I have been making and I don't want to waste any more money. I'm so bloody frustrated that I'm starting to say things like BLOODY!

Sorry to hear you're not happy with the results. May I ask how long you've been at it? Keep in mind it's not healthy to lose more than a pound or two a week and slow weightloss is more likely to stay off than quick, it's also easier on your body.

Are you drinking water? Exercising? Dieting alone sometimes isn't enough. You need to rev up your metabolism so your body doesn't go into starvation mode and try to maintain a set weight. Maybe talk to your doctor and see if s/he has suggestions as to what might help. Best of luck!

I understand the frustration, because I quit for that same reason. I just couldn't see paying them $150 a shot to lose three pounds a month, which is the way I prefer it so I won't gain it back later. My fault was my lack of a gung-ho spirit and I don't like exercise. I cannot drive myself like a couple of the girls were doing...and they were losing their pounds fast. I'm afraid they'll really crash when they lose their excitement.

I do like having the WW materials for reference, though, especially when we're on the road and have to eat fastfood. The tips have stuck with me, too, even a year or more after quitting. I have begun gauging my menus in few of points, which helps keep me on track.

I hope you find a system that works for you and gives you the support you need.

Good luck,
Caryn

I'm sorry WW isn't working for you. Hey, my MIL likes to say "blooming" when she gets mad, lol....it's an "english thing" I'm told. You might like counting your calories....I use the www.fitday.com software, the PC version. Don't give up! You can lose that weight!

I hear ya girl! And I sympathize. You know, all these diet programs are great for some, but they're not for everyone. And it's so important for EVERYONE, regardless of whether they are WW, NutriSystem, Atkins, South Beach or whatever, to learn to eat properly. After trying almost every single diet out there, including doing some hypnotherapy (which was very interesting, but not for me) I finally came to the realization I needed to do this by myself, FOR MYSELF. Of course with the help of the girls here, I have learned that I can do this.

In the end, it comes down to you and what YOU really want. I agree that spending money on something that doesn't work is not the best thing. Sometimes, we just need a break.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Kerstin

You guessed it.

No I haven't talked to them. I have PCOS so it just makes everything harder and the fact I'm paying, I can have this same slow progress on my own you know?

Unfortunately for me slow progress is my life when it comes to weight loss.

I haven't worked out in a few weeks because I've been sick, even though I haven't gained, it's been 1 pound or less every week, even at the beginning when you should lose more.

I drink between 122 and 140 oz of water a day. I have no metabolism. I think I'm going to go back to my doctors and tell her how frustrated I am with this all.

Yes I have the at home version of fitday, I keep track of everything. Scary as it is. LOL

I'm sick again, I woke up this morning with an incredible sinus headache and congestion...I wish the nice weather would finally arrive, I feel like I've been sick for months now.

I just wanted to send out my hugs to you. I know with being sick and PCOS it's not easy. I definitely think you should talk to your doctor about this. Maybe it's soemthig they can do, or maybe this is something you should put off doing until the weathre is better, and youre not sick.

Hugs. For me, I guess it's working. Tomorrow will be week 5 of being on WW. I wish I was up to that 10lbs, you know, 2lbs a week, but who knows. If I exercised, I'm sure I'd see more go. Too bad I'm a lazy bum.

Here's hoping you can be like Miko. Take a bath and look MUCH thinner. =)
