I know we usually do a Question Of The Week with some sort of health/fitness focus, but this week I have a fun off topic question for you ladies!

Imagine you are hosting a dinner party (all catered by the way) and you can invite ANY THREE people, either alive, dead or fictional-

Who would they be?

And why them?

Fun! Oprah because she has so much common sense and inner strength. I would love to get her take on some personal issues. The second would be a mayan indian from pre-columbian days. My dh is half native american and my great-grandmother was full native american. Much of the culture, herbal healing, and folkways were lost when the spanish invaded. Their form of herbal medicine was just as advanced as the Chinese plus they went a step further and treated people for emotions such as envy, jealousy, anger, etc. with some success. Their calendar was more accurate than the one we use today and has some horoscope type features to it. That facinates me. I would love to learn some of the uknown secrets from that culture. I am sure some of you are snoring by now lol. The last person I really can't decide on. I would love to say it would be a profound writer or artist. But the truth is it would probably be some famous comedian because people who are funny and have learned to laugh through life are far more interesting to me and I love to have a good time and laugh above all else.

Oh, what a great question IG! :) Ok, I think that I would pick:

Billy Graham
George W Bush
Papa, my DH's grandfather who passed away 6 years ago

And I would pick these three people because DH, Papa, and I would have some absolutely enjoyable conversations about topics we really love...especially DH and Papa. :) I mostly just love to listen!

I'm winking at Kim! I would invite:
Bill Clinton
Jimmy Carter
Woody Allen

2 people that I think are so brilliant and wonderful and 1 person who is my favorite director and who I think is one of the funniest people alive.

My turn.....

WHO-
Mary Magdalene, Maria Montessori, and Brad Pitt!

WHY-
Mary Magdalene simply because I'd love to hear her talk about her life, what life was like back then....and to get to the bottom of that whole "Immaculate Conception".

Maria Montessori because she had so many profound ideas when it came to children. Plus I think she'd make some interesting conversation contributions!

And Brad Pitt.....well just because ;-)

Who would they be? President Carter, Serena (sp?) Williams and Jeff Daniels

And why them?
President Carter: I have heard that he was a good man, and that he was too decent a person to be a good president. I heard this from newspaper people who are very critical of most politicians. I think he is a wise and kind person from what he has been involved in since his presidency. I'd like to talk with him.
Serena Williams: I just want to know how that she developed her body to be that strong and agile.
Jeff Daniels: He is a Chelsea, MI guy, and he just seems like someone who would be fun to be around. He has a couple of pieces on his new CD, one about driving an RV and one about a MI state trooper catching him and a buddy on the way back from the UP, that are just too funny.

Great question IG, but hard to narrow down!!!

Who:

Jesus

My Grandfather

Eminem

--------------------------------------------------

Why:

Jesus, because I think there are so many things in the world that go on in his name, I would like to know what he really wants us to be doing, and whether he wants us to be spreading christianity, or humanity and acceptance.

My grandfather because I think he could clear up a lot of issues we have in our family.
