I started using the FitDay program to calculate my calories based on a suggestion here. According to them, I'm barely consuming any calories compared to what I burn. Eating about 1200 calories a day, burning 2500. However, my weight seems to have plateaued. How can this be? What am I doing wrong? I don't feel hungry, so am I just not eating high enough calorie food?

There are a couple of things I would check out.

First, are you eating enough???

Other than what Miranda has suggested there, I can't think of anything else. I know when you put your foods into fitday.com you really have to double check the amounts and change (manually) them when appropriate.

I've only been using Fitday for 2 days, but I'm chiming in because it's really hard for me to estimate portions of food to input there. 1200 calories sounds like you are hardly eating

Hi :) I use fitday too. What I did was stock up on measuring cups (dollar store) and I bout a 5 dollar food scale that measures weight of the food. That way I know if I'm eating a 3oz chicken breast, or a 6 oz one..because it's still hard for me to "eyeball" it.

Fitday is a great tool to use, but it I don't think the activity section is accurate AT ALL!
1200 calories is not much, without knowing your body weight, it is hard to say what you should be consuming.
