Starting over!

Good morning.
New to the board... and need some help. I'm 34 and in desperate need to be fit and at my goal weight by the time I hit 35... July 31st. I've decided to search down a support group online and this group seems like a good fit (haha... no pun intended).
Prior to the birth of my daughter I was going to the gym 5 days a week and was fit and happy with my appearance. That was almost two years ago and I haven't been able to get movitated again. My current weight is okay - 134 lbs (I'm at the same weight as pre-baby), but I am one big flabby mess. I'd like to lose about 9 lbs and tone up.
Well, that's my story.
Looking forward to "getting fit in my 30s!"

Hey J!!
Nice to meet you! I have the hardest time getting motivated to exercise too. I could be a lost cause I'm not sure. I have like 7 lbs. to go and I'm stuck. I just know if I could get myself moving on a regular basis it would be cake to get off. However, I have excuse after excuse. Hoping you'll have some great ideas to add to my non existent regimen. lol
Nice to have you here, I'm sure you will find lots of inspiration and new ideas that will fit with your needs.

Hi J, I'm Ginger. You sound just like me. I'm 34, 5'7" and my highest weight was 137.5 pounds. My goal is 125. I'll tell you what my trainer is telling me in a nut shell.
1. warm up 5 minutes
2. stretch the area you're going to workout 5 minutes
3. 30-45 min a day cardio every day
4. weight train different parts each day. Exapmple: Arms and shoulders, next day could be abs, next lower body and rotate this routine while doing cardio every day.
5. stretch to cool down
6. drink 128oz water each day plus 16oz more for the hour you workout. This flushes out the toxic fat and excess salt.
7. eat veggies and protein. No simple carbs, bread, sugar or sodas. basically nothing white or starchy.
I just started this three days ago and have already lost 1" in my waist and 3 pounds! It must work. She said that the water being upped is what did this for me.
