A friend of mine has one in her garage and she is trying to get rid of it. She wanted $ 20 at a yard sale and no one bought it. I am thinking about getting it but what exactly does it work ? Would you get it? I never see anyone use this in the gym. They don't even have these in the big gym anymore. So.... would you get it or save the space for something better?

Martina, I remember that my parents had one of those when I was a little girl. THey never used it, lol. It just sat there in the way in the living room. I never get anything (especially if it's bulky) that I am not sure I will use, because I don't have the space. If I had a room just for exercise stuff, I might give it a try though. If you get it, let us know how you like it. :)

Hey Martina,
My DH wants us to get a rowing machine, though I would certainly pick something else myself (elliptical), and we're not buying any equipment still for months. But our space is super limited, so like Kim, I would only go for the rowing machine if I wouldn't miss the space. My DH loves the rowing machine for arms, back and abs -- he loves rock-climbing,
Like Kim, my parents had a rowing machine too. They didn't use it much, but I did sometimes. It was a pretty good brand with a nice padded seat and adjustable difficulty levels. I can't get anything like that now though; my place is way to small for anything other than weights, resistance bands, a stability ball, which I usually deflate if I'm not using it for a few days, and a mat that I can fold. I wonder what happened to my parents' machine. I would think it went the garage sale route.
