Coffee vs. Tea

Hey gang...
I know everyone says green tea is great and full of antioxidants etc. but I have a question.

During the first few weeks of my weight loss plan I was cutting coffee out and I did (99%-sometimes had coffee on sundays). But I wouldn't lose a pound. Now I've been drinking it a little more. The pollen in the south is deadly for allergy people like me and some mornings I need the help of more then antioxidents to get moving. But it would be 1/2 cup and then back to green tea. However, since I've brought coffee back into my life a bit, I'm losing weight (lost another pound last week).

It seems like when I just drink green tea and water...nothing happens. But with a little coffee, I lose weight a bit faster. I still drink the green tea when I have a choice but its getting harder to justify it when I love coffee so much.

Anyone else have something like this happen?

I would assume it's due to the caffeine and the diuretic effect coffee has.

I'll agree with Dee here that caffeine is both a diuretic and and a stimulant.

Never had anything like this happen to me, but then again I haven't tried to give up my beloved coffee, lol! What Miranda and Dee said makes sense...

Keep doing what works for you-

CONGRATS on that pound loss!!
