Thinking of joining your group...

I am looking at your group and thinking of joining. I've been with the Walk away the pounds board for several months now but off and on. I recently aquired a bicycle and am incoporating that into my fitness efforts. I just don't feel like I belong to the bicycle group or the walk away the pounds (strictly) group.
What do you ladies all do for your exercise? I have a 2.5 yr old and sometimes she dictates what I get to do! I got a bike trailer just for her so she'd enjoy my bike riding as well. Does anyone else like a variety of exercise?
Question for CL's... In my walk away the pounds board the section I love the most is posting how many miles you did that day. I was wondering if you can make a section like that for here? Not necessarily miles but something similar?

Hi and welcome. I hope you decide to join. Have you seen the journal section on this board? It would be a great place to post how far you have walked in a day. :) It sounds like you have a busy 2 1/2 year old! lol. I know the feeling. I have three kids...7 years old, 4 years old, and 20 months old. It's been a struggle finding time to exercise. When my husband was working the midnight shift, I would try to exercise when he got home in the morning, before he went to sleep, so he could watch the kids/baby. But he just recently got a dayshift and so just this week I'm starting to get up at 5am to walk on the treadmill (or do a Walk away the pounds video, etc) with the agreement that in the event that the baby wakes up while I'm exercising, he will take care of him. I am a morning person...and he has to leave by 6:45 in the morning...so if I don't get up at 5 to do it, I probably won't exercise at all. If you can't find a time when your husband can watch the kids...you might try naptime (if you stay at home) or try putting a gate up so that your child can watch you, but wont' get under your feet. Of course, you might have to tune out a lot of whining, lol.

Come on, join us!!!
I've been over at the WATP board a few times....I'm a big fan of Leslie! As Kim suggested our journal section would be a great place to post your mileage. Everyone here does different things, though a couple of us do walk quite a bit.
You'll find great supportive women here-- who like to sit down at their computers and really get great conversations going; from nutrition labels to how you eat your creme eggs- lol!!
Looking forward to seeing you around~

Hey Willow, welcome to the board!!
Hi there!
Fear
I wanted to thank you guys for your warm welcome! I really appreciate my online buddies. I am a stay at home mom and only have a handful of IRL friends, most of which are family :) It is nice to get and give support to each other when you don't have others around you trying to do similar things. No one I know rides bikes and only 1 of my friends is really interested in walking. I am hoping to start a bike riding movement in my town :) LOL J/K.
I wish I could get my dh to walk or bike with me but he won't. He's badly overweight. He does use our weight machine sometimes but not often enough and he certainly doesn't watch what he eats. I am working on watching what he eats for him but I don't want to be his mom! LOL
