Personalized workouts from magazines?
| Wed, 04-13-2005 - 10:36am |
I have seen a lot of personalized workouts and diet plans offered from web sites like Fitness magazine and Denise Austin's web site. Has anyone heard anything about these plans? Since I have the equipment but no trainer I was thinking about giving this a shot.

Martina, I've never used any of them, but I have a friend who is using ediets..which tells her what to eat for each meal and snacks...and she is loving it and losing weight. And I know nothing about exercise programs! lol...so no help there. ;)

You have to pay for it but it is like a virtual personal trainer. You plug all your info into the computer (weight, height, age, if you have access to the gym or work out at home) and then it tells you what to eat to loose weight and it figures out a workout plan for you. I think one of the magazines does this and it is $ 17.99 for three months and $ 50 for a year. I think, can't quite remember but it was something like this. Anyways, that is not a bad price considering that I am just kind of winging it when it comes to exercise and weight lifting. Would love to have someone tell me what I need to do for my body but then I am not sure if I can trust these programs more. So I was wondering if anyone knew anyone who heard of this before. Just me rambling today.....

You know if you really think it will keep you on track- then go for it. Personally I think I would need someone there to watch over me night and day, lol! But.....again, if you think you have the personal willpower to stick with what they say, then go for it.
One of the ways I check things out is by "googling" it........just a thought ;-)
