Just curious, I've seen a lot of interesting monikers on this board. I've figured out Islandgirl is obviously living the highlife on some wonderful remote island, and kimsarepublican is pretty easy to decipher. What about the rest of you?
Mine is the first initials of my two kids followed by mama. I liked that it came out RPM, because I always feel like I'm running like crazy.

Yes, I am on an island and when I first started posting here the girsl started to call me IslandGirl (later to be shortened to IG).....the VI is for the Virgin Islands :-)

I like how you decided on your name Karen, cute!

We had the same discussion a good few months ago-

Mine's pretty simple...

I am Barb, and I rock!

(I was trying to bolster my self-image a little) ;-)

hkdredbelt comes from my martial art, Hap Ki Do (hkd) red belt is STILL my rank. Hap Ki Do is a Koren martial art. It involves more control techniques like wrist locks and take downs. We do punch and block and kick and all of those fun things too. Some of the Tae Kwon Do students train with us and vice vers. We can spar with the Tae Kwon Do class on Saturdays too.

Karen, yep, mine is pretty easy to understand, lol. Although....I've been entertaining the idea of changing mine to "kimisahobbit" LOL! That would be the "opposite" of trying to boost my self-image I guess! ;) Or maybe it would just be a way to come to terms with my shortness (and huge feet!) LOL.

Mine is my nickname, KC (Kerstin Christine) and the what is because as a small girl, my parents would ask me my name and I'd reply "KC."

Kerstin, so is your birthday 12-4 or is it 1-24? Mine is 12-7 (and the year was 1974, lol). Either way, yours is either right before christmas or right after...and it steals some of our thunder on those days, doesnt' it? LOL. And to top it off for me, our anniversary is 12-2 which lumps them ALL into one month for me! DH tries to lump them all together too, lol. *sigh*

My son's birthday is 1-30, and it's great. Far enough from Christmas so it doesn't really compete, but we get everything on clearance and if he wanted a toy that was sold out on Christmas it's usually back in stock for his birthday.
We don't have family in the area, so we have a big event party with all of his friends, I think if I ever skipped it I'd get more complaints from the neighbors than from my son! For his 3rd birthday I took the guest room (which is MASSIVE) covered in top to bottom in butcher paper and sent the kids in with finger paints.

My online name is read "pool hall princess". I used zeroes for the "o" and ones for the "l" because the traditional spelling was taken.

What does it mean? Well, I like to play pool and I think of myself as a princess, so there you go :) It's the name I use for EVERYTHING. It's easiest that way. I never forget!
