I thought it would be interesting to start a subject on this. How many of us have outside support? Do your friends and family support your fitness efforts? Do you have anyone you work out with? Does anyone help you so that you CAN exercise?

My husband will occationally watch the kids when I am exercising. He's not always home when I am wanting to exercise. I don't have any family or friends as yet that will bike ride with me. I have 1 friend that likes walking and we do at least 3 times a week. My sis in law wants to get a bike but hasn't gotten one yet and she'll need a baby seat for hers. I will be pulling along my 3yr old nephew and 2 yr old dd when she and I get together. I can't wait for her to get a bike! I have a feeling that I'll have to give her mini-pushes though to get her to get out and get moving. My husband will not walk or bike with me... I hate that. I would love it if we could become a bike riding family! LOL I think it is funny how boys are soooo into bikes when they're young but once they're older it isn't cool anymore...

Hello:

My DH is very supportive. He's in the military and is always concerned about proper diet and fitness. So, when we were dating and he was away, he bought me a membership for kickboxing (as I had just started to go and check it out). I have been doing it for three years now and love it. And he bought a bag for me to do kickboxing at home as well. He also cycles and swims with me. He's always encouraging me to push myself harder (which is great but sometimes tiring!!!! Hahaha!).

The weights is where I need the help though and I don't like to do weight with him as his programs are much different than the one that I had set up for me by my trainer. I have a great friend that comes over to do that with me. But, when she doesn't make it, I really have to push myself to do it myself. I find it boring by myself! I guess just because it's the part of my workouts that I don't really enjoy.

Cheers,
Catz

The food is my big downfall as well. Especially at the office. I get into a routine of having a snack in the afternoons and then I have to have it whether I am hungry or not. I buy healthy snacks but don't control how much of it I snack on....so now I have my snacks in the cupboard in the office kitchen instead of in my office area... I go down and measure out my portion and leave... and then try not to go back (wink)! That's the hard part.

Catz.
