Hello All:

I am new here. I was just wondering if any of you had heard anything about a new book,
Body for Life for Women: A Woman's Plan for Physical and Mental Transformation by Pam Peeke? It looks very interesting but I was wondering if anyone had tried it and had any results or knew much about it.

Thanks,
Catz

Thanks Sally. I don't have the original anyway, and it's not available at the library so I think I am going to give it a try.

Cheers,

You know Catz even if you don't follow the program exactly but end up taking some cues from the book it won't

Thanks Miranda. I picked it up at lunch time and am going to read it over the week-end. It looks pretty interesting. DH says he will help as much as he can (and eat his high carb snacks while he is at work)! Haha!

Thanks Sally. Someone sent me the link and I have been chatting on there as well. Having fun and am enjoying chatting with everyone on both sites. You are all great and it's nice to hear everyone's thoughts and ideas.

I got the book tonight too Catz. I signed up for the challenge on the website too. Not sure if I'll follow through on that. I'm going to read the book this weekend first.

Hi Jen:

I just started reading the book tonight and DH is going to take my "before" pic for me tomorrow. I have a friend that has agreed to do the challenge with me and we are starting first thing Monday morning. Look foward to chatting with you about it!

Hey Jen:

Did you decide whether or not you were going to try the Body for Life for Women?

I am on day 3 so far and feeling pretty good about it.

My friend and I are doing the challenge together. Monday we did an hour of kickboxing, Tuesday I went for a run at lunch time (well - I call it a run but it's more like walking with a hop! I am very slow and alternate between walking and running but working on it) and then we did an hour of weights in the evening.

So far, so good on the diet ... but it's only Day 3 so we'll see what happens. I feel very motivated about this program. We are hoping to finally go on our honeymoon this summer and I am determined to get into a bikini!!!

Let me know if you are trying it and what you think.

Cheers,
Catz

Hi Catz,
Yes, I am going to do it but I can't start it for a while. I had to have surgery today to repair a hernia. So I have no idea when I am able to start it, at least a few weeks.
Darn! I'm going to read the book this week while I'm lazing in bed. I'll see what, if any, thing I can do in the meantime. I'm following a healthy diet at least.

Ouch!!!! I hope that you are feeling better soon and that you have a quick recovery!

Let me know what you think of the book when you get through it.
