Paula- I have to admit that I haven't read your whole post (I got to where you started off the race, and slammed into the tree)....I'm on my way to work, and have to be there a little earlier today. But wanted to say:
*CONGRATULATIONS*
...and that I'll read the rest of your 'epic' later on! I love that you have all those details memorized!! Sounds like you had a wonderful experience. Thanks for sharing, and I promise to read it later- when I've got more time on my hands :-)
Way to go Paula! How exciting! You obviously did everything you need to do and with out a doubt deserved to win that race! I loved reading every last detail; so inspiring!
How long do you think it took you to get in the kind of shape it took you to be able not only to complete this awesome course but to win?
It must give you such a huge sense of accomplishment. I really want to be able to do something huge like this some day. So please keep posting about all your successes, trials and tribulations it really helps get motivated and thinking about what goals I really want to accomplish.

Paula, CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Thanks for the kudos all!
The results were just posted from that race so I now know my time compared to the other racers:

Keep in mind that different levels had to do more than one lap. Experts did four laps. I only had to do one.
