Sounds like it's been a little rough every where. ;o)
Wasn't one of your new years resolutions about your job? Changing it or something have you done that and this is now another job another set of problems? "I'm not really following my passion" this is a hard thing. Do you know what that passion is and how does the job you have now fulfill it? I'm asking because I know the things I love and that give me great joy but it's very hard to find away that I can make them a part of my life to the degree I can make money and actually feel is I'm making some kind of contribution. So I'm just curious about other people's feelings on this.
Have you read What Should I Do With My Life by Po Bornson. Even if you know what you want to do this is a very inspiring book. http://www.pobronson.com/
Life seems to be a pain in the butt for a lot of people on this board right now. Sorry to hear about those late nights. I am so grateful that I'm done at 5:00 p.m. I'm also sorry t hear about the snow. We had it again on Sunday. It was so depressing to see it out there covering people's cars after church was over. At least it had melted off the trees and paved surfaces later in the day, but it was still on the grass next morning.
....wondering if we should ask to get the name of the board changed, lol!
-Sorry to hear things have been rough for you Miranda. The blasted snow does not help I'm sure. Is is easing up temperature wise yet?
That's frustrating about Matt and the homework assignments. When did it become so hard/difficult to keep up with what they have to do? (I'm so happy that I don't give out homework at my level ;-) Here's to that working out soon.
....and then the job front. I can understand your gripes there. Perhaps you should look into that book that Gretchen mentioned!!
Well, as said somewhere earlier...it is hUmP day, only 2 more days until the weekend. Hang in there....and a brand new week will be along shortly!
ps. good to see you back with us. I was beginning to get a little worried
That all sucks! It's so cliche but it really is true that it never rains but it pours. I heard there's a Chinese version of that, (don't know if it's true) "a bee for a crying face" which made me laugh.
Good luck with your job. I'm sure Gretchen's book suggestion is excellent; not that you have time to read another book but I thought I'd mention
Poor Miranda! I wish I could come over and help jumpstart "action" again by going for a walk together...talking and venting as needed, lol. We all have these ruts...they aren't fun...but you'll get through it and will be feeling better soon. :) Sorry to hear about your cold or allergies. Either way that makes for a miserable day! Have you tried those tissues w/ the lotion in them? I love those. Also, vaseline on your nose feels so good when it's sore. I know it's not a great *look*, lol, but is amazing for healing. Maybe put some on it when you get home from work. Definitly before going to bed. Hang in there. I feel for you! And I hope that your job situation goes the way you would like it...sounds like major changes going on...
I tried finding Mel Levine's book at our library but they don't have anything by him. So next time I'm at the mall I'm gonna see if I can find it there. I read some of the reviews on Amazon and it sounds really good. I wish they would have had the "look inside" feature for it but they didn't. Thanks for the suggestion.
