Change in exercise can and more often will screw up your menstrual cycle.

I remember a few years back going hardcore from nothing to working out everyday on the treadmill, I was on the pill since I was 19 (I am 32) and I had no period the first month and breakthrough bleeding the second and then it regulated again.

Kerstin, I'll tell you what I've noticed, once I turned about 33 my periods were no longer as regular as they used to be.

Kerstin I ain't been right since I had my last baby. I had been on BC most of my adult life and after having the last child stopped BC. I'm never regular, break through bleeding, I spot for the first 2 to 3 days then gush for several hours one day then I'm done. Very frustrating!

I'm glad you brought it up.

I think changing anything in your life can screw with your cycle-- new job, relationship problems, flying, changing your diet, etc.... The body is a pretty amazing machine, and just like any other machine needs time to readjust to *new* things ;-)

I've been pretty regular for the past 6months or so, and then this month- 3 days early!!! Screwy!!

Do ask your doc though and see what they have to say too....

It seems with each passing year, my periods are less predictable. I am pretty much on time. But some months are very painful, some month, just basic cramping. Some months tend to be very light considering what I am used to, and some months are just as heavy as mine had always been. The last one was really weird with spotting for two days, then it came full force, sort of stopped, then spotted for days four and five.

I need to go have the physical, been saying that for months now. I really do though, and I plan to ask about these changes when I do go.

Hi KC:

I think any changes in your life can screw up your cycle. I got married on New Year's Even and my cycle was all out of whack for the next two months before it got back to normal.

Cheers,
Catz
