Did you derail or stay on track?

What's going on this week?

How was your weekend? It wasn't too bad. Got some stuff done.

Did you derail or stay on track? I pretty much stayed on track. I went out twice, Friday night one of the black belts and I went out with the Masters Johnson (our head instructors/dojo owners are a married couple) for Korean. I hadn't had Korean food before so they introduced me to it. Said black belt and I spent our class hour helping Master Jamie finish an advertising mailing piece for the dojo so they bought us dinner. I ate a bit too much, but it was largely a meat, veggie meal, a little rice for the spicey food. Then SO took me to dinner on Sunday when he got back from his spring golf trip with the boys. Other than that, when I cooked, I did well, ate lots of apples this weekend. I had done some walking on Friday so even though we didnt' work out, I had done something. We did have class on Sat. and I did a 45 min. cardio on Sunday to make up for my light Friday.

What's going on this week? The family will be in town this evening and tomorrow so my youngest sis can see a doctor at U of M. We'll go out to dinner this evening for Mother's Day. Other than that, a pretty basic week, except for an extra meeting Thursday evening, which I hope is done on tme so I can watch the end of the Apprentice, LOL.

Sounds like you had a good weekend Lorie-- and good times out too! I don't think I've ever had Korean food either....is it quite spicy? What kind of things do they cook?

....and I have to mention the Apprentice!! I'm addicted to that show too (and Amazing Race). I've enjoyed the way they did it this year (Book Smarts VS Street Smarts). I missed last weeks episode- are they down to two now- which ones? (I'll be staying in this Thurs for sure--LOL)

Glad to hear you enjoyed your (other side of the) family weekend!

Here's to a great week ahead for you-

How was your weekend?
It started off nice and quiet...but as it rolled on things began to get out of control, lol! Was a good girl and stayed in on Friday night-- which meant being up early on Saturday and got a few of the children's conference folders ready for the parent/teacher conferences coming up. Saturday went out, and ended up with my cutie 24yr old (who left island today). Sunday went to St. John for the day- it's always nice to get over there....

Did you derail or stay on track?
I pretty much stayed on track-- Sundays food was a little overboardish, but did some walking and swimming that day at least.

What's going on this week?
Work as usual (though I did come home today with some sort of 'stomach' thing and have slept most of the day away)- Staff meeting tomorrow- P/T Conferences on Thursday (PM) and Friday (all day).
Friday I have a friends surprise b-day party to go to :-)
....which also happens to be a Friday the 13th!!!!

There are two left, Kendra from the Book Smarts group and Tana from the Street Smarts group. This Thursday will be the last show for this season. I was just on the Apprentice page because I couldn't remember the Book Smarts woman's name. They have a "Who are you rooting for?" poll question up. It's like 63% Tana to 37% Kendra. Were either of those two people you would have picked to make it to the end? I've kinda liked Tana for some reason from the beginning.

Some of the Korean dishes were spicey, some were sort of sweet. I really liked the spicey pork, but the chicken dish was a bit mild with lots of veggies. THe beef was in a sweeter sauce, but nothing surgary sweet like candy. We also had a tofu dish which was a bit more spicy. I think tofu needs a lot of seasoning myself. It wasn't bad though. Thye had a little green salad on the table too, and the traditional kimchi and rice as side dishes. It was like what I would call a "family style" meal where we shared the main and side dishes.

Sounds like you had a good weekend as well. Today in MI is almost warm enough to inspire thoughts of swimming.

Hope you feel better and good luck with the parent teacher conferences.

Two women left! (Who would have guessed!! LOL) Yea, for some reason I've liked Tana from the beginning too- I think she has a lot of her s**t together. For some reason I haven't ever really liked Kendra, and think she passes the buck too often. I'm sure it will be an interesing finale.

Korean food sounds yummy, and I love going out for family style meals. Nice to have a 'bit' of everything!!
