In the process of 'the big losing', I've been casting off clothes sizes every few months. At first it was easy to give them away... now that I'm getting to the 'recent purchase/good stuff' it's getting emotionally harder. Well, today an answer came into my 'life'....

History: Last week I found out nn aquaintance from a couple of years ago recently underwent gastro. I immediately sent several bags of clothes to her. She loved them. This weekend I went back into my closet and was PAINFULLY HONEST with what fits/doesn't. Ended up with 3 huge bags of clothes... again. (yes, I know the psychology of having so many clothes... 'over-compensating'... etc, etc.). Anyway... I toyed with the 'what do to' knowing she'd 'undergrow' them and then what? (give away, consign... etc.). So... this a.m. I found out that the acquaintance belongs to a gastro support group... and as they under-grow, they put their clothes in 'circulation' for others to wear. What a wonderful way to be supportive and 'give back'. I'm sending all the good stuff down today... what a delightful way to contribute to the 'big kharma'.

Anyway... I'm thrilled.

As you all lose weight, it is possible that each of you can find a support group of sorts to put in you success as others reach theirs? Maybe your gym has such a feature? Maybe a local hospital?

Thoughts for the day....

That's a really great way to 'pass' on your clothes...making you feel not-so-guilty about it too! I know I have to seriously go through my closet to see what needs to go! I'll look around and see if we have anything like that around here! Thanks for the idea...

And keep it up!

What about a woman's shelter. I am sure they could use some clothes too. Just an idea.

that's a great thought and a great show of the giving spirit.
