I stumbled on this board this morning & read many posts. I was very impressed to see so many losing weight & everyone seems so positive- GO YOU!
My ? is.....how in the world do you find time to excerise? I have a crazy scheudle, 2 boys ages 4 yrs old & 19mths. The baby has several birth defects, which keeps me at dr's for him. I barely have time to clean the house let alone excerise! I am a junk food eater, shame shame I know but when your on the go it's hard to eat healthy. I hate breakfast, but hungry around 10-11am. I'll eat a carb, theres my energy & then a few hours later I'm exhausted & hungry. I am 5"6 & was told last week I weigh 200 lbs! I feel pregnant again & it sickens me :( This gut I've aquired depresses me :(
Also bare in mind..I've had lower back surgery so no high impact excerise allowed. I have a hernaited disc in my neck which needs surgery. I am on Zoloft for depression, dealing with IBS & on meds, plus high cholestrel. I just read about a new pill for depression called Cymbalta & it actually decreases appetite, where Zoloft & Paxil actually make you hungry! Is anyone on these meds or have experience with them far as weight gain goes?
Sorry to keep blabbing...Would appreciate any advice :)

I'm a mom of two too. Mine are 7 and almost 5 and I promise it gets easier as they get more independent!!!
You didn't say what the disablity is, but I would really recommend finding someplace with a swimming pool, even if you don't swim laps or anything, sitting in the shallow end playing with the kids can be a great workout. Teach them to hang onto the side of the pool and kick their legs and bounce the baby in and out of the water. I know a lot of people are self concious about wearing bathing suits, but trust me, no one is looking at you anyway! Case in point, last summer I bought a new bathing suit and was really self concious the first time I went to the beach. No one said anything, so I got more comfortable. Finally, after being at the beach several times a week for MONTHS someone said "is that a new suit?" and it hit me that not only was no one looking at me, I couldn't tell you what anyone else was wearing either. I was so wrapped up in the idea that I was the center of the universe that I forgot to notice what anyone else looked like.
Have fun and get wet.

Hi, nice to meet you! I totally understand about not having enough time to exercise. I have 4 kids + a step daughter from time to time. They range in age from 17 to 20 months. I also work full time and I hate to exercise so fitting in time is a challenge.
My weight loss has been slow, I'm stuck on the last 7 lbs. for about 2 months now. However, I lost what I lost by making small changes, getting use to them, then making some more small changes.
Sometimes it was hard for me to except that those "refined" carbs just can't be a part of my diet. I still fall back into them all the time. However, I think as you make changes, except them, and decided your changing that one thing for good you'll start seeing changes. Even if the weight comes off slowly you will just feel better doing something that is good for you.
