Weighing yourself . . .

I noticed that on our email that the leaders get there was a post on another board in regards to being frustrated over little weight gains, and mention of when you should be weighing.

I found this one of the most interesting tidbits off of that Oprah show last week:

Bob Greene was saying that when you start a weight loss program, you SHOULD NOT WEIGH YOURSELF FOR TWO MONTHS!

Glad you posted this. I think this is HUGE. I started weighing once a week when you guys mentioned it hear and I have a much more consistent take on what I weigh. Don't have all the ups and downs I was.

I wonder then, why WW has you weigh in every week. lol. Hmmm.....

I'd love to do this, but unfortunately, I can't get my money back for my pre-paid WW so I'm going again for another 10 weeks, which means, 10 weeks of weekly weigh-ins. lol.

Here's hoping for some WEIGHT LOSS!!! I think i've gained a lot back. shhh....

Hey Cher, just remember that when you are changing your routine it will be normal to see fluctuations in your weight - up AND down!

ITA.

BF's co-worker is on WW, and found out I was, so she talks to him about it. WEll, she's lost 25lbs in 6 weeks. I told him, if she doesn't start adding in her "normal" foods, she's going to gain it ALL back. She's put herself on a strict diet. Yeah, 25lbs looks good, but I hope she can keep it off.

Slow and steady will win the race.

I keep forgetting to wigh myself to get a start number. I wonder how that keeps slipping my mind. My scale is in the middle of my room. I guess it is hiding in plain sight. ;)

What I find helps is not only looking in the mirror every week, but weighing every Sunday morning when I first get up, and also taking measurements...

neck
bust
waist
hips
both thighs
both forearms below the elbow
just above the knees
meaty part of the calves

I jot everything into my handy dandy Tony Stewart notebook...... good motivator... when I'm getting back up from falling off the wagon. Darn bumpy roads.....
