Phew... chocolate.
Nuff said about its MAIN attribute... (or at least your mind thinks so).
So... I'm searching (after being home and in bed for 3 days with some funked out flu thingie... and approaching 'that time of month' - chain the cupboards Sonny...) for something that hits the sweet/crunchy spot without killing my fanny.
Found it.
Wheat chex (who'd a thunked), drizzled LIGHTLY with chocolate bark (dug up out of back of cupboard from Xmas baking that didn't get finished due to homework on my part) and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Toss.
Since the chex are mostly air, the chocolate isn't thick and the dusting of powdered sugar is just that, a dusting... there's not too much 'stuff' to them. But boy, does it do the 'trick'.
No, I'm not advocating eating 2 c.'s of this stuff... just a small handfull.. .trust me, after that, it's sweet enough to make ya cry.

Have you tried the chocolate flavored whipped cream. A friend of my says it's a wonderful alternative to have chocolate.
Nope. Lactose issues.
I've made these 'things' only 2x in the last year... but I think the combo of being housebound AND sicker than a dog with upcoming PMS sent me over the edge. Truth be told, I gave them to my dad last night... he'll eat ANYTHING with chocolate.

...mmmm, now that sounds yummy! I've been having a chocolate craving recently too. Sometimes I will give in and buy some real chocolate, but I've been buying the *pricey* kind. You know the ones by the registers that are sold in single squares?? Anyway, I buy one or two of them, and that does the trick for me. When I buy something bigger than that I tend to not pay attention (!!!!) and eat it all, lol! Not good!
