Dear Friends,

I just spoke to a friend the other day and realized that I was wallowing in self-pity, which isn't helping much.

I have lots of things to be thankful for : the fact that in spite of having to undergo dialysis, I feel normal : no nausea, vomiting or dizziness; my parents who provide for me; my job, even though it pays little, there are ppl who have no jobs even though they need one; the fact that I have no children to support (I can't even support myself); the fact that I can undergo dialysis through my arm and not my stomach (even worse).....I guess I'll have to find more reasons to be thankful but it's a start.

I lost a bit of weigh, I normally weigh around 64kgs but I was 63.7kgs after my dialysis session on Thursday! HaPpY DaNcE!

So, thank you all for your helpful posts. I just have to learn to be thankful.

HUgs,

Elaine

That's a good outlook to have. Sometimes we can get weighed down by our circumstances. I should keep that in mind, and even list some things too.

Elaine~ that's a great post, and I'm so happy to see you looking at the brighter side of things! You know a couple of years ago I made a new year's resolution to keep optimistic and try to see the positive side of things. It was difficult at the beginning of the year, but in reflection at the end of the year I remember thinking that I was the happiest I'd been in a long time.

Let's see, for example....today's weather is grey and wet; but hey at least it's not sweltering hot!

Keep up the positive outlook~
