Summer is officially here!
Let's see how we are doing in regards to being safe in the sun

1. Do you wear sunscreen daily? Or just when hitting the sun chair?

2. Is getting a tan a high priority for you?

3. What SPF (if any) do you use?

4. Have you ever suffered from bad sunburn/heatstroke? What did you do about it?

Here's a 'Sun Safety' quiz to take

3. What SPF (if any) do you use? 30

I know what you mean about putting 'cream' etc..on your skin in the humidity-- just like make up, it slides right off!! I hate that slick feeling, lol!

I have to admit to not being great about using sunscreen. I know that living down here I should be more vigilant about using it. When I go to the beach/boating etc...I am getting better about remembering to at least re-apply every couple of hours. And remembering those *forgotten* places-- neck and ears ;-)

2. Is getting a tan a high priority for you?
I like having some sort of a tan, not necessarily dark/dark, but some color is nice (and healthy looking, I think). The problem for me is that I don't have the patience to sit there and soak it up for long. Which I suppose isn't a bad thing!!

3. What SPF (if any) do you use?
I have been known to hit the beach with a *gasp* 10!! Lately I've been out there with the minimum of 15, putting up to 45 on my -I burn here- area's.

4. Have you ever suffered from bad sunburn/heatstroke? What did you do about it?
Yup! Sunburn! I remember when I was in FL one year I got badly burned on the backs of my legs. Ouch-- it was sore to walk-- you know that tender area of behind the knees!! I don't remember what my exact plan of attack was, but it probably included staying out of the sun, lol- and LOTS of aftersun.

well, I got 8 out of 9, but my knowledge doesn't necessarily translate into good habits unfortnately.

1. Do you wear sunscreen daily? Or just when hitting the sun chair? Just when I know I'll be out in the sun for a while, and I didn't even do that on Memorial Day. I also don't re-apply like I should.

2. Is getting a tan a high priority for you? It would take me forever to build up a tan, fair skin. I don't burn too easily, but I don't tan either. I use the fake stuff, like the Coppertone moisturizer/self tanner

15 on my face every day, contained in my moisturizer...but nothing else on a daily basis.

2. Is getting a tan a high priority for you?
I do enjoy tanning, but it's not a high priority for me.

Have you ever used real aloe for sun burn? It grows rampant here, and many people swear by it. For me though I can't stand the smell of it, and it's kind of gross and jelly like to put on. Apparently it is meant to heal the burn faster, and leave you with a nice tan!

With all the 'out & about' stuff you do I'm surprised you're not more of a sunfactor girl! Even with that booth tan you need sunscreen Missy!

(I'm one to talk, lol!!)
