Okay, not to that extreme, but when I was in the restroom not too long ago, I caught a profile glimpse of me, my tummy sticks out so much, it's bigger than my boobs and I look pregnant!!

And ladies, I need to lose one size in two weeks. Is that possible? Even in a semi-unhealthy way? I need to fit in my clothes, or else, I risk spending a lot of money I do NOT have, so I have something cool (as in heat) to wear while on vacation. I leave in two weeks.

At this rate, I'm willing to try almost anything. Help.

I have done the Slim Fast thing for a week at a time a couple of times. I drank one for breakfast, ate lunch and then drank one for dinner. I was hungry though because I didn't add in the snacks. I do that now. It did seem to help me lose a bit of weight. I would snack like they suggest if you decide to go that way. You can have fruit or yogurt in between. They also allow for an evening snack like air popped popcorn. I usually don't need an evening snack, but sometimes I'm hungry in the morning. Don't forget to drink the water.

Take care of yourself whatever you decide to do.

I think slim fast is tough just the ingredients in it turn my stomach, CANOLA OIL??? ICK Who wants to drink that and how can that be good for you??? I think I read too many labels. LOL

Come on pineapple girl maybe you are just a little bloated, are you retaining water??? Eating too much carbs? I know when I eat carbs or too much sugar my stomach protrudes and I look PG.

Hugs It's so hard, I'm right there with you!

Wow, I should read the ingredients I guess. Still, it works for me, especially for breakfast because I can just grab it and go. I prefer LUNA bars for a grab and go breakfast, but they're so expensive, as are some other alternatives. As far as dinner, I really do prefer to cook chicken, brown rice sometimes, and have fresh veggies that I can eat raw or steam. For me it has to be quick and inexpensive. I try to make it as good as possible.

I agree with the eating carbs thing. It's easier in the summer though, to

I would think that cutting out all refined and processed foods would probably help somewhat. I always felt bloated and sluggish when I ate too many bad carbs.

What does "refined" mean? Processed, I would assume means anything in a can, or in a bag, or out of a package (minus fresh or frozen fruits/veggies).

Hey PA,

I've seen you on the BYF board! Good to see you here too.

I can totally identify with the lower belly pooch dilemma. Someone actually came up to me in a store the other day and asked when I was "due". Talk about being horrified. I honestly think that my lower lip quivered some when she said that because I was about to cry!

But, I quickly regained my composure, told myself that she obviously had no tact if she said that to a stranger and started researching ways to help it. In the process, I told my Mother of this travesty and she said that she had JUST read that women have those "pooches" because they do not breathe deeply enough into their bodies, their lower bellies. So, I have been doing a LOT of deep breathing (don't overdo it though or you might black out - that wouldn't be good!) Also, I am on a "sugar challenge" with a friend and we are not going to eat ANY sugar or sugar items for two weeks minumum. None. I have upped my water intake to 64 ounces per day and eat a bit of dairy per day too. (I know some people think that dairy makes you gain but I really don't. I've read and I also think that dairy, in moderation, is very slimming.)

Also, when you are walking or standing or going about your everyday activities, be aware that you are sucking your lower belly in. That will make ALL THE DIFFERENCE in the world and if you do it long enough, it will be like second nature.

I hope this helps! Good luck!
