New here and need a LOT of encouragement

Hello all. I'm Sara, a 32 year mother of 2. I new here to the boards and looking for new friends and a whole lot of encouragement. I've always been overweight, but not like this. I'm starting a diet and exercise plan (pretty much eat less and walk more)and could use any thoughts or ideas you guys might have. I've been reading your journals and will probably start one of those. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Nice to meet you Sara! You will got lots of great ideas from this board. Journaling is a good idea. I try to do it as regularly as possible. Helps me to stay on track.

Hi Sara,
I am new to the board too. My name is Christie and I am a 33 yr old (almost 34) mother of 3 (2 I've actually given birth too, the other is a bonus child). I became overweight when I got pregnant with my first child. I've lost weight a couple of times, but now I am heavier than I've ever been in my life. I am going good with the food part, but I have such a hard time exercising! Our lives are so busy with working full time and have 3 active kids between the ages of 8 and 13. Not to mention that we live in Central Florida, and to do anything outside would be suicide. It is sooo hot!!!!!! Anyway, I just thought I would say hi and share a little about me.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I understand the busy things and the exercising thing!! I almost don't have time to exercise between work, the kids, housework and homework! If you interested I'd love to have a diet buddy for encouragement! I was doing so well early this week and then let it all go! But I'm motivated, no doubt. Something I did that really helped, is sign up for www.fitday.com it helps you track what you are eating. It has really kept me on the straight and narrow, when I feel like I want to cheat, I look at my log and see if I can afford to cheat and what

Hi, I am new here as well. I just found this board last week, I think it was. I too find the board very supportive and encouraging. I haven't checked out fitday, but I think I will too. I have just been watching my calories and exercising when I can.
