My Healthy Choice Today!

The Challenge-
Each day reflect on what decisions you made, and post the one you're happiest about. For example: instead of a soda at lunch you guzzled a big glass of water!

Focussing on positive decisions will help with confidence and motivation.

Monday - Not buying any snacks at work and bringing healthy snacks.


Tuesday - I roller bladed into work even though it looked like rain (and I made it too - it didn't start raining until I was in my car!!)


Wednesday - I went swimming, even though Matt hadn't brought his clothes to go to the gym - I let him just sit there until I was done!

Naw, loads of walking is a healthy choice in my book!


I didn't have any healthy choices on Sunday... but I had fun!

Yes that is where I started! And today I did 20 minutes! My husband and I went out with some friends Saturday night and I danced quite a bit, definitely more than 20 minutes. My legs were so sore! But it was so much fun and the sore is a good sore!

Friday, I had a really good dinner, but it was my mom's birthday and we went to a Lebanese restaurant. The food was very healthy, but then we had dessert! We split baklava and caramel creme (which just flan). Then Saturday, I went to a baby shower, and of course they had all kinds of bad things to eat, and I ate! But I didn't eat a lot. Not near as much as I wanted to. Then went out and danced alot that night. Sunday, hmmm, I didn't exercise because I was sore from dancing, but I ate good. Today, (Monday) my health choice was.....my kids wanted to go to Baskin Robbins for dessert. My husband put in his order too, so I took them. I didn't get anything, didn't even ask for a bite or a lick, and I came home and did 20 minutes on my Gazelle. I am also expecting a Walk Away the Pounds DVD any day now, which I am looking foward to doing.

Saturday- fought off the urge to have a second slice of the wedding cake (overindulgent chocolate raspberry!!!)
Sunday- thought I didn't feel too well, I did manage some Yoga ;-)

08/01 I just got a wrap for lunch no fries no soda. When I stopped to gas I was tempted again to get sodas for everyone in the family as a treat but decided not to.

After that QOTW about food, SO and I had lunch together at the local Coney. I had water and the grilled chicken breast salad, no cheese or crutons on it, just a bit of ranch dressing. I usually have root beer there because it's really good fountain root beer. I didn't even have any onion rings, not even half an order with SO.
