Let's be honest- how often do you eat:

1) salad?
2) fruit?
3) milk/dairy products?
4) fast food?
5) chocolate?

1. Salad - less than once a week in the winter time, 2 to 3 times in the summer time. Generally I prefer my vegetables cooked (soup in the winter, fire-roasted/grilled in the summer).

2. Fruit - all the time! Again, in the summer when all sorts of things are in season, very often more than 5 servings a day. Yesterday I ate 2 lbs. of cherries and 2 peaches! Maybe 3 servings a day in the winter.

3. Milk/dairy - one or two servings a day, mostly in the form of organic non-fat yoghurt. As far as for drinking, I prefer soy milk.

4. Fast food - almost never, but I do get take out brown-rice sushi once in a while ...

5. Chocolate - I love chocolate, but only the real thing with 88% cocoa content. On the average, a 3-0z. bar lasts me about two weeks.

1) salad?

Well, in the spring and summer I'd say 10 times per week as I have it for lunch and dinner.

How often do you eat:

1) salad? I have to admit to being terrible at this! It's not that I don't like salads I would just rather choose something other than a salad to eat. I'd say maybe twice a week, and that might be pushing it!

2) fruit? Again, I'm not great at eating fruit. I am trying to have at least 2 types a day. Not that it's the best way to do it, but I'll count my juices as a serving of fruit!

3) milk/dairy products? I'm not so

1) salad? About once a week, I'd love to eat it more often. I'm moving end of the month and I'll have a real, full size frig in my new place so I'll be able to get veggies and keep them in those bins

1) salad?
Less than once/week, which is dumb because I love salad. I just hate making it!

2) fruit?
By itself, hardly ever. Dried fruit in other stuff- all the time. I know I need to increase my intake there too.

3) milk/dairy products?
I detest milk, BUT I have yogurt and cheese at least every day if not several times/day. Yogurt and granola for breakfast and string cheese as a snack usually.

4) fast food?
Maybe 2-3 times/month if you don't include Subway, a local cafe or the cafeteria across the street from my job. I make healthy choices 8/10 times at those joints.

5) chocolate?
4 times week or so. Not needed daily, but most work days I have a piece or two in the afternoon.

I know making salads is a pain, so what I usually do is make one huge salad and put it in a big covered salad bowl in my fridge that way I can just dig in and have it whenever I like.

I've tried doing this Miranda...but I often find that even the next day the salad has gone all wilty! Does yours not?

Oh, never mind.....maybe if I omitted the dressing and just made the 'salad' it would be better, lol!
