How was your week?
It started off really busy, but thankfully has been winding down since Wednesday, the friends who were here for last weeks wedding are all gone back home now. I'm hoping to finally get caught up on bills, etc...today :-)

Anything special going on this weekend?
Not that I can think of. I'm working at the bar tomorrow- and Sunday, well as intended- will be a day of rest!

What's going on with the weather in your area?
No rain, lightning and thunder hopefully! Like Robyn, I'm hoping that the humidity eases off a little! Ugh- doesn't look great on the forecast, though it's beautiful out at the moment-

My week was pretty good, meeting kids' teachers, seeing their scheduled, working as usual! I am quite proud of myself for being so good with my calorie intake this week. Not quite as proud about my exercise, but with orientation 2 evenings this week, it was really hard!

Weekend plans, just finishing up getting the kids ready for school, and I may take them to the beach for the day depending on the forecast. I would like to have one day of play before they go back though.

It has been very hot this week in Central Florida. Last night we had a major thunderstorm though, with a possibility of a touch down by a tornado.

How was your week? Not too bad, kind of busy and didn't get much "healthy" type living in.

Anything special going on this weekend? I'm going to be walking for my DH's Relay for Life team tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully squeezing in at least 240 minutes worth so I can make my exercise goal.

What's going on with the weather in your area? Looks like it's going to be sunny and in the low 90s.

Hey Kiervin, with your mention of a tropical depression I was just wondering if you are affected by many hurricanes, etc... over by you?

At the moment we're keeping a close watch on TD#9!!

Tropical Depression number 9 is now located in the central Atlantic. As of 11 a.m. EDT, it was near 16.4 north and 37.3 west or 865 miles west of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands. It is tracking toward the northwest at 18 mph and has maximum sustained winds of 30 mph. Estimated minimum central pressure is 1010 millibars or 29.83 inches. Upper-level conditions are favorable for intensification, but the depression remains relatively unorganized. It could develop into a Tropical Storm over the next few days though. If it tracks to the northwest it will encounter shear and get picked up by an upper trough over the east-central Atlantic. The farther west it tracks, the better chance it has to become a hurricane.

Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts! Yes, the water temp is actually about 2-3 degrees higher than normal at the moment, making things quite favorable for development :-0

I was here about a year when Marilyn hit us- not a great experience. Luckily my home and the school were not damaged too much- much of the island was! We were back to work about 3 days later, with no power. I think it took till about the middle of December for power to be restored! It blew in on September 15th- this year will be the 10th anniversary!

This is a photo of our Yacht Club afterwards: http://www.styc.net/STYC/History/Marilyn.jpg
And I just found an interesting article written a couple of days after it: http://www2.sptimes.com/weather/HG.8.html
