QOTW- Schedules & Routines...
12
Mon, 08-29-2005 - 12:47pm

At this time of year many of us have to deal with an adjustment to our regular routines, so-

1. Does your wake-up time change at this time of year?

2. Do you have to adjust your workout times?

3. What's the hardest difference in your schedule?

Well, it should.

No.

2. Do you have to adjust your workout times?

Nope.

3. What's the hardest difference in your schedule?

The thing that bothers me is that I'm getting up in the dark now. I hate that part of fall.

1. Does your wake-up time change at this time of year?
Sure does!! During the summer I can be so flexible, even if I work at the bar! The time has changed from about 8.30am to between 6.30-7am!

2. Do you have to adjust your workout times?
Having no real set schedule during the summer workouts can be anytime! When I'm back at work I actually like to workout right after work, or at least about half an hour later.

3. What's the hardest difference in your schedule?
Having the schedule, lol!!!

1. Does your wake-up time change at this time of year? Yes I get up 15 to 30 minutes earlier.

2. Do you have to adjust your workout times? Yes, and I don't know what I'm going to do.

3. What's the hardest difference in your schedule? This time of year I feel like it has to be about the kids and home. Really have a hard time finding time for myself. Then I find myself becoming resentful that I'm taking all this time to make sure school, extra curricular, and house hold stuff is being taken care of and doesn't appear anybody really gives a crap. I'll stop whining and whine down in my journal. lol

1. Does your wake-up time change at this time of year?
Not a whole lot. I slept in to about 6:30 during the summer, but now I need to be up by 6:00 since I have two boys with Zero hour classes that start at 7:00. Gotta get them moving....

2. Do you have to adjust your workout times?
Yes, during the summer I was able to get up and workout before the kids were up and about. Not so anymore! Now I think it will have to be during nap time Tuesday through Thursday. Mondays and Fridays are totally different schedule-wise, so I'm not sure what I"m going to do on those days yet. And I am planning to get up early on Saturdays and Sundays for either a walk or a bike ride.

3. What's the hardest difference in your schedule?
The whole workout thing. I like working out in the morning to get my day started. I'd have to get up at 5:30 now and I'm just not sure I want to do that.

1. Does your wake-up time change at this time of year? Not usually since I don't have kids in school. This year it will because I just moved. My new apartment is further away from work so I need to be up earlier to walk in to the office.

2. Do you have to adjust your workout times? Perhaps a bit with the shorter days. This isn't a place to be out and about in the dark. Kinda weird because, like with walking to class, it's 6:30 when I walk down the HKD whether it's in the summer and still quite sunny or it's late autumn and nearly dark. It's just so creapy when it's dark. I'm going to try to get my runs in the morning and keep doing Pilates or weights in the evening after work like I had been.

3. What's the hardest difference in your schedule? Just getting out to walk/run with the shorter days and needing to get up earlier for work. The weather will be cooler and much better, but the sunrise is already much later, not until just after 7 a.m. now.

Hey~
A zero hour class is a class before the normal start time for school. So their normal school day starts with first period at 7:55. The zero hour classes start at 6:55. It's a way to fit in another class to their regular schedule. As it happens, both of my boys have music classes - one has Orchestra at the middle school, and one has Jazz Band at the high school. Makes for a really long day!

Thanks, IG. I've been up north camping, which was so nice, then I had to move when I got back. I'm slowly getting back into my routine. I've just spent the last two nights in my new place. The first night I was unpacking and trying to get things organized. I finally realized I needed to eat so I put a SmartOnes frozen dinner in the microwave, which then blew a fuse and caused my microwave, AC and TV to quit working. SO came by and I told him of my troulbes. I hadn't been able to find my fuse box. Turns out it was locked in the basement and I couldn't get in touch with the emergency maintenance guy. SO got into the basement to fix it, probably shouldn't mention that, though.

Last night things were going better, until I decided I needed a shower after having unpacked and moved boxes and taken out more trash. The shower head fell off in my hand. I was done so I hung up my towel and went into the bedroom. When I went back into the bathroom to find a comb, I found that the towel bar, which only had a bath towel and wash clothe, had fallen down.
