The Biggest Loser Train!

So Biggest Loser starts up again on Tuesday just in time for me to jump back on the train with my own eating habits. I'm going back on south beach after I fell off miserably and have slept and bummed out the remainder of the month of august. So I'm back on track starting tommorow, I cleared my house of any sugar. LOL

Anyhow, so is everyone going to watch this time around? It really was very inspiring last year. I'll probably keep this post going every wednesday to see if people are watching.

Loved it!

I however would really give just about anything to play with Jillian for a little while.

I think for a lot of them the (whining) must come from probably leading pretty sendentary lifestyles to working out about 4 hours a day. I think I'd cry too. lol

I couldn't believe the amount of weight lost either. I don't remember them losing that much at first last season. But well done to them all-- just shows that they really are into it!

And the drama-- yea for TV and show me thinks ;-)

So was that just the first week? While we were watching everyone kept asking how long they had been doing it. I think a week but not sure what time same is between episodes. I mean I know they air it every week but is that the actual time that went by for them?

I think that it is a week's time for them. Can you believe that they all lost an average of 20 pounds in one week, heck I would be in ectastic!!! Especially since my goal weight is 32 pounds away. I do think the show will give us all motivation. I have slacked off to, but I did get back on my epilictal machine for 35 mintues last night. And then i know I have rea dthis somewhere, I had more energy normally i just sit in fron tof the Tv but I mopped floors did Laundry and cleaned the kitchen all after working out. Hopefully i can restart my weigthloss.

My favorite on the guys teams is the doctor he seems like a really nice guy. the girls no one really stand out yet.

I love this show!!

I checked on the biggest loser website on nbc and it says that that was their weightloss after "week one". It is pretty amazing to think they could lose that much weight in one week, but it has inspired me again.

The one question I have is, how tall are the contestants? It would really help to put it all in perspective. Has anyone seen their heights?

I was surprised at the weight loss last year, but then I went and read their regimine and food intake. They were working out an average of 4 hours a day. That's a lot of working out for someone that wasn't before. Last year, the first week was HUGE and then the next week we saw low numbers and even some zeros.

I mean last time I went on southbeach I lost 12 lbs in a week and I wasn't working out 4 hours a day. Can you imagine how much I would have lost if I worked out that much. LOL

Yes they are working out four hours a day and also they said on Tv that you should stay between 1200-1500 for women and 1500-2000 for men, but if you look at the website they are having these people survive on 1100-1300 a day and the adding in all that exercise. Thats way below what they suggest for safe weight loss.

I stay at right around 1200 calories myself. I know it, working out 4 hours a day sucks, but I think it's what these people needed to jump start their metabolism. Although I do agree it shouldn't come off that fast, I'm anxious to see when they send them home. At the end they send them home for 4 weeks to take the lessons they learned and apply it in their own environments, then they come back and weigh one last time.

I used to be aqble to stay around 1200 but now its more like 1300-1500. I know thats probably the reason I'm struggling more but its so hard to be able to stay at those calories. I have lost 10 and have ben stuck but I had stopped exercising, so I started that agin. Hopefully that will jump start the weight loss again. I have read that if you cut back to much then it makes it easier to gain weight when you start eating a little more normally. I would love to have a sample of what you eat to stay around the 1200.
