A couple of weeks ago we looked at our food weakness'. This week let's look at what we are strong about-

1. Do you have indulge in something 'good for you' as a treat?

2. Have you discovered a love for something healthy recently?

3. What do you think is the MOST important food group?

1. Do you have indulge in something 'good for you' as a treat?
They say almonds are good for you. So I eat an almond Snicker bar a day. :P Seriously though, I love Edamame. And that's good for you

2. Have you discovered a love for something healthy recently?
No, but I found that Vietnamese food, for the most part, is TONS of veggies. So maybe I should eat there more. They are normally thin. Never seen an overweight Veitnamese person yet. lol.

3. What do you think is the MOST important food group?
Chocolate. I dunno. Yeah, I think it's chocolate.

1. Do you have indulge in something 'good for you' as a treat?

My treat is usually chocolate & I think there is a study that says its good for you!

2. Have you discovered a love for something healthy recently?

Nope.

3. What do you think is the MOST important food group?

Meats, beans. I did not realize that most women don't get enough protein every day until I started tracking my food intake. The trainer at the gym told me that lack of protein can inhibit weight loss & the benefits of exercise.

1. Do you have indulge in something 'good for you' as a treat? Pineapple

2. Have you discovered a love for something healthy recently? This may sound odd, but dark greens like spinach, salads. There's so much you can do with dark greens, like adding some granny smith apples, chicken and almonds or mandarin oranges - very cool and more nutritional value than the iceberg lettuce.

3. What do you think is the MOST important food group? I think it would be meats or dairy because we need protein, and calcium too.

Regarding answers so far-

CHER: Is chocolate a food group?? LOL
Good point about the nuts though. Hadn't thought of them myself!

ANN: Thanks for the trainer tip re. proteins!

LORIE: Your salads sound dee-lish! I'm never very adventurous when making my own salads, but think I might buy some mandarin oranges this week!

ROBYN: What do you do with the leeks? (I'm not a big leek fan, hence my interest in seeing what you do with them)

MIRANDA: Is that moose "good for you"? LOL
I forgot I have some edamame in the freezer.....sounds good for a snack after school today!

1. Do you have indulge in something 'good for you' as a treat?
Sometimes I have a real craving for something a little sour, when I do I reach out for a granny smith apple!

2. Have you discovered a love for something healthy recently?
Not really- but I have been enjoying those yogurts with the granola in them. Creamy and crunchy at the same time!!

3. What do you think is the MOST important food group?
Like Miranda, I think 'balance' is most important. So all of them!
