My OB/GYN referred me to a GP because she felt my blood pressure was a little high. So went today and the GP agreed I guess. So confusing I have no clue about any of this.
Anyway, I'm sure this will be a good thing in the end to be healthier and not have whatever happens to people who have

Oh, Gretchen, I'm sorry to hear that your blood pressure is giving you fits this soon.
Gretchen, sorry to hear about your BP, but you know like all things-- better finding out about it early! I have to admit to not knowing much about what you can do for it, but did find a couple of articles to pass along to you:

Gretchen,
Thanks for the links IG! Good info.
We did discuss the stress in my life. My in-laws are kind of a constant stress and usually don't keep me up at night or anything so it's kind fo "normal" stress we decided. I stress more over the kids but only now and then above what would be normal. I do get some exercise to relive "normal" stress but need to do better.
The decongestant thing has been the biggest concern for me and probably a contributing factor to the HBP. I'm not sure if I have vertigo but have inner ear issues and first night without it was not fun. Congested all night, sinus headache ears backed up. However, the Dr. says hopefully this will work itself out. What I have been taken has a "rebound" affect and might need to wait for that to aleave itself. Will see.
Think it will be easier to give up some of those foods I've been needing to anyway.

Gretchen, I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this BUT I'm also really glad that you discovered that this may be an issue for you now rather than later.
The salt thing is tough.
"Most women's stress comes from simply not knowing if they're on target with their lives,"
Think that is a great point! I really need to use what I learned in my Unstoppable Women book about setting goals. That's how I plan to approach my exercise goals starting Sunday.
Gretchen
That struck me as a great point too.
Big <<<>> to you.
I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing all this!

Awww, very nice thought. I think I can do this. I haven't salted anything for 3 days and I think having a specific health reason it will make it so much easier.
The Dr. seems to think getting of the decongestants might actually help with the sinus problems. Says it might take awhile for the new stuff to work but if they don't he said trying to pin point the cause would be best.
