I have been married to a bucko athlete for 10 years. He ENJOYS training. I am 31 and I feel like I am starting to look like my mom. Celulite city. I just don't like working out. I think I may hate it. I don't know if it is because I have been to over 150 marathons, triathlons etc. or what. I can never find the time. I swear I would rather scrub my bathtub than get out and run or bike. Do you make schedules. Do you reward yourself. I just want to live a long healthy life and know that I need to be getting my heartrate up! Any suggestions?

Thanks Miranda,
I have to be creative. I fill my days with administrative work so I don't really even think about activities for myself. I asked my husband to train me again. Tonight we are going to do a spin class just me and him. I will be happy when it is done. Are you a designer? I love the little girl that represents you. Did you design that?

Hi there, and welcome to the board Felicia!

Miranda's right....sometimes we have to be creative when either finding the time to exercise -breaking it up if you can't find a solid 45mins together or what to do -dancing around while cleaning the house can burn up calories too ;-)

Hope you and your DH enjoyed your 'private' workout session yesterday!

Looking forward to posting with you-

Me either!!!

My new approach is going to be to set a goal and complete it. I think if I could be successful I might find exercise more rewarding. I feel like I have one failure after another. I do good for a couple weeks and do horrible for a month. I'm also going to start off thinking small. I just want to run/jog for 30 minutes straight. So starting this week I'm going to walk/jog for 30 minutes. Run 2 minutes/walk 3 minutes. Up that each week till I'm doing a straight 30 minutes. Should take approx. 4 weeks. Then what I don't know.

I agree with the others. It's hard to find what

Yeah!! People who dont' "love" training. 12 years of hardcore athletes who eat and breathe training. Last night, Dennis trained me and in my mind I was thinking every three seconds...i hate this, i hate this. I told him, you dont know what it is like to be me. He is so lovely that he started using visualization with me. (We were SPINNING). He said, picture you are spinning to the top of a mountain and at the top is any type of food that you could pick. Well, that didnt do it for me. BUT THEN, he said, visualize at the top of the hill, clients for our company. There are 200 of them. It was wierd. All of a sudden I was focussed. So, just a little tip for all of you out there. Visualizing things that are great to push us through our workouts. I am going to be training a lot. So, I will keep you posted on the progress. Thanks for all of your input. It means alot.
