Hi Ladies:
Halloween is just a prelude to trouble in my eyes. After Halloween, we have Thanksgiving and then Christmas. I come from a long line of women who feel they are doing right unless they are feeding you. Today my mother who's 52 gave me a sanwich bag of candies....all Chocolate. I had Butterfingers, Butterfinger wafers, Almond Joy(all mini bars) I laughed it off and said thank you and took it to work, where I shoved it in my drawer determined not to eat any. About midday stress took over and I slowly, well rather quickly ate 6 little bars in about 1 1/2 hours. This was very sick and bad as I am prediabetic and am not supposed to have sugar. As I sat there mortified at eating this and even more upset because the sugar kicked in making me very lethargic I realized I must get a game plan to combat the upcoming holiday trouble.
How do you tell your own Mom "no thanks" I'm not able to eat like that?
HOw do you tell a Mother in law, my doctor said not all that butter?
I have no willpower, don't like alot of people making me feel bad about not eating their dishes, but after having my baby 7 months ago I'm still very overweight and this diabetes willnot go away until i take control. Problem is I like good food and I'm very wimpy.

Hey Tiffany-
Here are some idea's I've used in the past (my Mom does something similar-- when she comes to visit me, from Ireland, she brings a lot of Irish goodies with her!!)
Good Luck--
Happy Halloween ]]
