Okay, so a while ago if you remember I had to act as a patient for a medical exam, and it really brought home the fact that I hadn't had a physical since, ummmmmm, the Clinton years.

Because I'm on BCP, I have to go once a year for a womanly visit. But, if I make a womanly check-up, I think they'll check more, besides doing a pap. But they do call them "womanly check-up" so I have no clue. lol. I have health insurance so I just pay my co-pay.

BTW, I'm always at the doctor for one thing or another anyways. lol. It just depends on how irritating it is (what is wrong). lol.

I'm often late for my annual GYN appointment but I do try to go on a regular basis. Hard to get a GYN appointment have to call in December of 05 to get an appointment for October 06.

This is the first time in like my adult life I have seen a GP that my GYN referred me to because of the high blood pressure. As long as I am given a little reminder to make and appointment or one for my next appointment I'll continue to see the GP regularly. If not I'll go when I need to.

My GYN takes cash on the barrel head unless you have BCBS which I don't so I have to submit that myself. The GP submits to my insurance and bills me for what they don't cover.

Also, do regular semi annual dentist appointments.

I do see my ob/gyn every year. He checks my blood pressure, etc. He does bloodwork every year too.

The insurance I have now requires a co-pay of $15 per visit but I have had insurances that required me to pay the whole amount & also ones that charged me nothing. It just depends on the coverage.

I started getting an annual phsyical two years ago. It makes me feel better that I am keeping on top of my health, I'd rather find out about something early on before all arteries are clogged and a second away from cardiac arrest.

....no annual anything for me I'm embarrassed to say. I'm one of those 'I'll go when I really need to go'- not a great way to look at things!!
