As I just spent some time with gram again this weekend, I was struck by all the pills that woman takes!

As I just spent some time with gram again this weekend, I was struck by all the pills that woman takes!

I take a multivitamin because I know I need it.
Do you take any other vitamins or minerals or non-herbal supplements (cod liver oil, etc.)?
I take a calcium supplement because my Dr recommended it.

I started taking HTP-5 a few weeks ago. It is supposed to combat depression & help with weight loss. Not sure if its working for either yet. I suffer from seasonal affective disorder so I figured I would try it because I refuse to go on antidepressants & the light therapy doesn't fit into my schedule. I do feel less aggravated about little stuff but that could just be cause it hasn't been that time of the month yet. LOL!

***I take glutamine, l-cartinine, acidophilus, coenzyme Q10, primrose oil, chromium picolinate, calcium
Glutamine/L-Cartinine important to take when working out, acidophilus because I used to be highly prone to yeast infections, now I've been taking two a day for 4 years and haven't had a yeast infection since, coenzyme q10 is good for your heart, primrose oil elleviates cramps and pms, chromium picolinate helps with digestion and calcium because I don't get enough in my diet.

I take one sorta. I take it when I remember to. When I workout more, I tend to take one, because I don't think I get enough nutrients, the right kind, to refuel my body.
ETA: I'm taking One-A-Day Active. Mostly cuz it had the most "stuff" in it's contents. I know I don't eat well enough to cover all my needs.

Nope.
And the reason I don't take any? Because, I figure, by the time I get to be in my 50's and on, I'll have to take more and more pills. The less I take, the happier I am. I too saw my G-ma this past weekend, they were talking about her pills, she takes 12 different ones. As of now, I take one daily BCP, I have allergy pills, pills for other things that may act up, I don't need more pills for the fun of it. lol. Also, if I have to take too many, I'll throw up. CAn't wait till I'm old and keep vomiting my pills. Yuck.

I thought I saw it last week. lol. I didn't really look at the date, but I swear it had been around for awhile now.
Yes, I'm losing it. I think maybe I should've gotten the multi-vitamin with MEMORY enhancers, not ENERGY enhancers. lol
