QOTW: Thanksgiving Game Plan

I know it's Thanksgiving coming up this weekend - great food, and fun gatherings - but that means it's not as easy to stick to your regular game plan!

So what are your plans for the upcoming holiday diet and exercise wise?

Do you generally let things slide as it's a holiday?

Yep, but generally it's because I'm having such a good time and I'm not "thinking" diet and exercise.

Do you have special "coping mechanisms" like telling people you have recently become lactose intolerant so no you can't eat the pumpkin cheesecake?? ;-) Not really, depending on what it is I'll say I'm full now but will eat it later. This more often than not involves food I don't like to begin with. lol

Do you get a chance to fit in exercise during the holiday or just wait until the holiday is over and get back on track? Usually no, however, I'm going to try to go Monday and Wednesday then one day over the weekend.

Weirdly, lately I have been being really good BEFORE the holidays, so I don't overindulge as much as I normally would. This year, I'll indulge less as I have less things to attend.

Nope. Either I just say no, and if they push, I tell them I don't care for what they're trying to give me. lol. But rarely does someone push. And besides, I"m normally taking w/o being asked. LOL.

Nope, usually this is when I fall off the wagon, however, I refuse to do that this year, because my first check-point is Dec 15. :) So I"m going to do my darndest to keep on going this year. and try to ignore all the resolution makers in Jan (that's usually why I QUIT going...too many ppl)

I'd like to say no, but I'm probably very much like Kerstin here....when I take time to enjoy myself during the 'season', but like Gretchen I'll try to practice a little moderation this year ;-)

I use my intuition as a coping mechanism....be realistic with myself!!

I try to incorporate some....it really depends on what exactly is going on. For instance this week is crazily busy, so it will take a lot of discipline to ensure I get some exercise in!!

I don't plan on skipping any exercise routines - but - we have a busy weekend planned so I won't know until the time comes.

For meals, I plan to taste everything that I want to taste - but in small portions.
