I know that when New Year Resolution time rolls around it is soooo easy to overwhelm yourself with good intentions that by February we are discouraged because we've not attained our lofty goals.


So this year when I made my resolutions I made them fairly broad but am breaking them down each month into small steps I can take.

For this month I want to try to get in at least 3 workouts a week between 20 to 30 minutes.

My changes for January are going to be:



Walk 3x per Week


Get an Exercise Bike


Find 3 New Legume recipes

I've done this one before, but my goal for January is to get back into the habit of no eating after 8:00 pm. I tend to grab a book and snacks after the kids go to bed and I really don't need it. So, I am going to work really hard to get back on track with this. I'm thinking a nice cup of herbal tea when that snack-fit hits might be enough to stave off the munchies and help me relax before bed.

The exercise goal for the month will be to get back to the good, hard cardio workouts (I'd like to make it to get outside for a walk/run at least once a week, but the weather here is so

I'm getting back to an exercise routine. Not sure what I'll be doing but I'm going to do something at least 3x this week.
