How can I stick to my resolutions to lose weight and be more active?
We've all done it, year after year - make resolutions for ourselves, stick to it for a few months, days or sometimes just hours and become disappointed when we fail YET AGAIN! Why on earth do we do it to ourselves? The start of a new year or the arrival of spring or summer usually bring with them thoughts of rejuvenation, change and something better, and it seems like the perfect time to 'fix' our life. So, this time, instead of failing again, what can you do so that you stick to your resolutions? For other health tips see this website:

Exercise for heart health
Work up a sweat with five fabulous aerobic workouts. We know that physical activity is good for the heart and mind, yet cardiovascular disease accounts for more deaths in Canada than any other, according to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Thirty-four per cent of all female deaths in 2002 were due to cardiovascular disease.http://www.canadianliving.com/CanadianLiving/client/en/Health/DetailNews.asp?idNews=233410&idSM=315

Face your toughest pounds
At certain life stages, you're more prone to weight gain. Here's what to watch for – and what you can do to take charge of your body
Two years after giving birth to her daughter, Nora, Patricia Gautreau was still struggling to shed 20 extra pounds of baby weight. "I breastfed and thought the weight would just fall off," recalls the now 39-year-old Brampton, Ont., native. "It didn't, and that made me feel depressed, so I ate far too many high-carb and comfort foods." Find out how to find those stubborn pounds and why it gets harder as we get older.http://www.chatelaine.com/health/article.jsp?content=20051206_155852_5180

The Eyes Have It
Home remedies undo damage to the eyes caused by holiday-season excess. Holiday parties, Internet shopping, and late-night reading can all take a toll on your eyes. But dark circles and puffy lids need not be the result of a busy holiday season. Instead, pamper and soothe your eyes with some old-fashioned remedies.

How to fit exercise into your schedule
Can you really get the right amount of exercise and still have a life? We found out! When we decided to write about the right amount of exercise a person needs, we wondered how many people on staff actually get it. So we made our colleagues fess up and take the quiz here. While just about everyone on staff exercises, few actually hit the expert-recommended marks.

I'm doing everything right - why can't I lose weight?
Out of the 100-plus women who e-mailed us this very complaint, we chose three and had a team of no-nonsense experts—a nutritionist, a trainer and a life coach—take them on. What were our subjects really eating? More important, what was eating them? Three months (and a total of 47 lost pounds) later, the answers are in.http://www2.oprah.com/health/omag/health_omag_200501_weight.jhtml
Site of the Week: WOOT! It's a hoot. Seriously!
So Woot.com is a site where each day they have one item up for sale. One. You have to check the site each day and it's not so much the products that they sell but the write ups for each item, laugh out loud funny!!

Great links in there to start our year off on the right foot!
I especially liked the 9 Tips to Reach your Goals (on fitness magazine)!
I took the exercise quiz on shape, read some info I already knew about my exercise routine, lol!! But reading how some of their staff deal with working out was interesting.
Thanks Miranda~
