Are you where you thought you would be fitness wise at this age?
Nope.
Are you where you thought you would be fitness wise at this age?
Technically, I'm in a little better shape at this age than I thought I would be.
Good questions, I had to think...
Are you where you thought you would be fitness wise at this age? I really have to say that I didn't think about it too much. In a way, I am surprised at the things I am doing now, Hap Ki Do and starting to run.
Were you unrealistic in your 20's?
God No, I never thought I'd look like this at 29.
I think I just thought eventually it would click and I'd lose the weight and get healthy by magic..lol..so yes it was unrealistic.
I'm not quite 30 but that is why I'm here now, to set and keep realistic goals in my 30's.

Are you where you thought you would be fitness wise at this age? I don't know that I've ever gave it a lot of thought but I think I expected to be in better shape. I hadn't planned on having a baby in my 30s so that's been harder to recover from than it was 13 years ago.

I think I am in great shape for my age compared to my peers. I teach aerobics and changed my diet habits after I graduated from college in my 20's. I was actually a vegetarian for a year when I was in my 20's. Then I went to avoiding all fast food, fried food and red meat. My main goal in my 20's was not to gain a tremendous amount of weight like most of my freinds when they graduated. As Steffy mentioned, I learned that I could not have the same diet in my 20's in my 30's. My main problem is eating late at night and portion control. Overall I have managed not to blow up like most women my age.
Pretty much, I have made healthy living a lifestyle, I often get snide remarks from members of my family who are overweight, suffer from diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, etc. At one point my younger sister who weigh about 100 more pounds than me told me I was aneroxic ( At the time I weighed 135 pounds and I am about 5'7)and suffered from image problems. WTF??? I really do not understand why there is a problem but I would much rather die peacefully than of a heart attack like our Dad. He happened to be under 55 years old.
Yea....had to use the confused emoticon; you'll see....

You know when I think back to 5 years ago (I would have been about 28...) I really don't think I was even concerned about my fitness, and trust me I am SO much more active now than then!!!!
Were you unrealistic in your 20's?

Actually, I'm in better shape than I have ever been - which doesn't say much LOL.
